The RTA provides various and important services for older adults across our region, so we were very excited to participate in this year’s Senior Fest at Millennium Park recently. Hosted by the City of Chicago Department of Family & Support Services, the free event hosted close to 6,000 residents who are 60 and older with a picnic lunch, health screenings, dancing, raffle prizes, and resource booths.
The RTA was on hand providing information about the accessibility of our regional transit system, applying for RTA programs such as the Reduced Fare and Ride Free programs and participation in Travel Training.
We had a lot of fun this year and are already looking forward to seeing everyone again next year!
