Connecting People to Chicago Restaurants and Shows Through Transit!
January 22, 2019
Sometimes it is the destination, but it’s certainly still important to enjoy the journey—and that’s where transit comes in. Taking CTA, Metra and Pace to and from work may feel like second nature, but when it comes to going out to dinner or heading to Chicago’s theater district, are you more likely to drive, call a cab or use rideshare? Many of our region’s attractions are very close to a transit stop and letting us drive can save you time and money.
The RTA along with CTA, Metra and Pace are proud to support Chicago Restaurant Week and Chicago Theatre Week. We are here to help you find the best way to get to a restaurant or show we’re excited to support these events to help kick off 2019!
With almost 400 participants, the 2019 Chicago Restaurant Week will be the largest to date. The 12th annual Chicago Restaurant Week takes place Friday, January 25th through Thursday, February 7th. This foodie festival allows participants to experience some of Chicago’s most recognized restaurants.
Now that you have had your dinner, how about a show? Check out Chicago Theater Week, taking place from Thursday, February 7th through Sunday, February 17th. Now in its 7th year, Chicago Theatre Week provides an incredible opportunity for viewers to experience the performing arts scene right here in Chicago. More information on tickets and show times can be found at Chicago Theatre Week’s website.
These partnerships are great opportunities for our riders to save money and enjoy the city. Plan your trip to participating restaurants and theaters at RTAChicago.org. Share your restaurant, theater and transit experience via social media using the hashtags #CRW19 or #CTW19!
