["Yesterday we joined CTA, Metra, Pace and Cubic Transportation Systems (the developer of Ventra) to celebrate the 13thannual Dump the Pump Day, a national initiative that promotes the benefits of public transportation and encourages commuters to leave their cars at home. We spent the morning providing free cups of coffee to transit riders during the morning rush hour.\n\nRocking our white and orange shirts, we handed out “I Dumped the Pump” stickers to riders who’d just gotten off of trains and buses, and offered Beavers coffee and donuts to thank riders for choosing public transportation. Our street teams greeted morning commuters at the Rosemont Blue Line & Bus Terminal, the CTA Roosevelt Station and the northeast corner of Wacker and Madison near Ogilvie Transportation Center and Union Station. We even had a special appearance from the White Sox’s own SouthPaw because the White Sox are having a Transit Game as part of a Dump the Pump promotion.\n\nWe want to especially thank our partners at CTA, Metra, Pace and Cubic for their hard work and efforts. We had a great time putting a smile on so many commuters’ faces! Check out our Dump the Pump slideshow featuring pictures from yesterday’s events:\n\n[gallery ids=\"/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_2.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_8.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_9.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_26.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_30.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_34.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_40.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_43.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_45.jpg",",/uploads/images/blog/WP-Old/2018/06/DTP_50.jpg","\" type=\"rectangular\"]\n\nHow did you Dump the Pump?
