As many of you know, I am not a Chicago native. I was born and raised in Australia. But, I have come to think of our region and the great City of Chicago as home sweet home. My husband, sons and I are all die-hard Cubs fans as my attire shows.
To that end, and because I know my colleagues in Cleveland are great sports, I've entered into a little wager with my counterpart at the Greater Cleveland RTA. I've asked him to agree that he or I will wear a hat and shirt from the World Series winning team on transit. And, we will post the photo social media. So, when the Cubs you-know-what (I am too superstitious to write it here), he'll wear Cubs gear on his transit system. And, of course, I've also agreed to do the same with Tribe gear should the unthinkable occur.
In all seriousness, I thank Cleveland RTA's CEO and GM Joe Calabrese for being open to this. And, may the best team win! #FlyTheW
