We’re proud to participate in the 18th Annual Transportation Symposium and Business Exchange, an event that gives information to local businesses interested in becoming a transit agency vendor.
The networking and informational event is presented in collaboration with the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Metra, Pace, Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Illinois Tollway Authority.
The symposium will be held on Thursday, November 12 at the South Shore Cultural Center, 7059 South Shore Drive, Chicago from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The event is specifically aimed at construction companies, professional service firms, manufacturers, architects/engineers and suppliers, as these businesses may provide transit-related products. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women Business Enterprises (WBEs), Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) and veteran-owned businesses are strongly encouraged to attend in order to assure these business managers and owners understand the best way to seek transit agency business.
Transit agencies in this region spend billions of dollars annually on goods and services needed to help keep our transportation system moving. The RTA is fortunate to work with a variety of businesses every year and see this symposium as an opportunity to grow our network of vendors.
This venue will give small businesses an opportunity to learn how to better leverage their skills and services to work with transit-related agencies and understand the legally-required procurement process.
Advance registration is strongly encouraged.
