RTA to Host Access to Transit Workshop October 20th

Who:     The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), in partnership with DePaul University’s Chaddick Institute, is hosting an Access to Transit Workshop at the University’s downtown Chicago campus.

 

What:    The workshop showcases local examples of successfully enhancing “access to transit” along corridors by eliminating barriers to using the transit system. The workshop will feature a discussion of how access to transit contributes to increased transit ridership and community vitality.

 

When: Tuesday, October 20

8:30 a.m. to Noon

Why:     The event brings together local experts, including municipal and transit agency staff, regional planners, and elected officials to discuss the benefits improving access to transit has on communities in terms of economic development and transit use. Speakers include RTA, Pace and Metra staff as well as representatives from Village of Niles, Hoffman Estates and the private sector. Seating is limited. To register, visit the Registration Link
