RTA to Host Access to Transit Workshop April 8th

Who: The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA), in partnership with DePaul University’s Chaddick Institute, is hosting an Access to Transit Workshop at the University’s downtown Chicago campus.
What: The workshop showcases local examples of successfully enhancing “access to transit” by eliminating barriers to using the transit system. The workshop will feature a discussion of how access to transit contributes to increased transit ridership and community vitality. For more information view the Workshop Agenda. 

When: Tuesday, April 8th
8:30 a.m. to Noon

Where: The Barnes and Noble building (on the corner of Jackson and State)

Why: The event brings together local experts, including municipal and transit agency staff, regional planners, and elected officials to discuss the benefits improving access to transit has on communities in terms of economic development and transit use. Speakers are slated to include RTA, Pace and Metra staff as well as representatives from South Elgin, LaGrange and Skokie and the private sector. Seating is limited.
