RTA Staff to Attend Pace Community Meetings

he Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) will be on hand at Pace informational meetings to answer questions about the new RTA Reduced Fare and Ride Free Ventra™ system transition.
Pace will host nine public hearings starting Monday, July 15 throughout the region to inform the public about the Ventra transition, the timeline and answer questions. Meetings will be held throughout the suburban locations that Pace serves. Meeting locations below.
Pace and Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) recently announced that select users would begin using the Ventra fare payment system in August, with a full rollout coming to all Pace fixed-bus route and CTA riders in September.
Last month, the RTA mailed notices advising customers about the transition of RTA’s Reduced Fare, Ride Free and ADA Paratransit programs to Ventra. More than 550,000 customers currently enrolled in the agency’s programs will receive new permits this fall that will enable them to take advantage of the CTA and Pace’s new contactless fare payment system, using a single card to travel throughout the region.
