During the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, RTA Board of Directors and committee meetings will be held online at www.rtachicago.org to ensure the health and safety of all staff, Board members, and the public. The Board and committees typically meet at 9:00 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month. Complete meeting packets are posted at least 48 hours prior to the meetings. Video of every RTA Board meeting is streamed live and then stored in the Meetings Archive, which has recordings since December 2014. The RTA encourages public participation in its electronic meetings by inviting interested parties to provide comment to the following email address: email@example.com. Public comments must be received no later than noon the day before the meeting. If there is a concern that your comment is too long or staff have questions, you will be contacted. Otherwise, comments relative to RTA business will be read into the record during the meeting.
The meetings of the RTA Board are subject to the provisions of the Illinois Open Meetings Act. All records, documents and papers of the Authority, other than those relating to matters concerning which closed sessions of the Board may be held, shall be available for public examination, subject to such reasonable regulations as the Board may adopt. The public is welcome to attend RTA board and committee meetings and address the board during the public comment portion of its meeting.
