RTA Trip Planner provides easy way to plan restaurant visits

Chicago – The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) is reminding riders that the fastest and most convenient way to get to restaurants during Chicago Restaurant week is by taking transit.  Restaurant Week offers two weeks of special gourmet, prixe fixe (fixed priced) menus at more than 250 participating restaurants around the region from January 30 to February 12. Whether riders take a bus or train, good eating is just a ride away.

“Enjoy a night out with family and friends as you visit different restaurants during Chicago’s Restaurant Week,” said RTA Executive Director Leanne Redden. “Our transit system can save you time and money when headed out to enjoy this annual event.”

Riders can use the RTA’s Trip Planner at www.RTAchicago.org to plan travel and select routes, many of which include stations with accessible features. It is the only online site in the region that provides and compares a variety of options for getting around the RTA region using transit, walking, bicycling and driving.  Looking for more restaurant options during Chicago’s Restaurant Week?  Visit http://www.choosechicago.com/things-to-do/dining/chicago-restaurant-week/ for a full listing of restaurants participating in this year's event.
